Oliver Nickels’ latest effort out of Rhombus HQ branches out from House and Techno with a collection of bubbling analog basslines, 1980’s futurism, and a classy bootleg of Feist’s ‘One Evening’. The E.P.  pays homage to a few of Oliver’s influences. On ‘Crockett’s JX3P’, the classic 1983 Roland synthesizer meets Jan Hammer’s masterful ‘Crockett’s Theme’.
