Sleazy McQueen – What I Need (Midnight Riot)

Having previously featured on the Midnight Riot label with his irresistible re-edits, Sleazy McQueen releases his debut single for London’s Ism Records.

‘What I Need’ is Sleazy displaying his disco/boogie sassiness to the max working an old skool piano house motif over killer disco drums, a synth boogie bassline, dropping analogue hooks and a seductive female vocal throughout.

Chris Massey gained his DJ experience spinning at UK clubs such as Sankeys, The Warehouse Project and Funkademia and ventures outside of the UK every year to DJ at The Electric Elephant festival in Croatia. His remix displays his love of electro, early 90’s house with a stripped down to the bone, heavy four to the floor groover, which needs to be heard uber loud to be believed.

Anthony Mansfield has been producing his own brand of dance music since his first release on Rong Records in 2004 then founded his own label, Hector Works. His tunes have received plays from DJs, including Dimitri, Harvey, Greg Wilson, Idjut Boys and Pete Herbert. Anthonys version slows the tempo and flips the original into a brooding mid tempo chugger which is sure to feature in many a summer festival DJ set to come.

The Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club famous for their beautiful Marwencol track with forthcoming releases on Tusk Wax & Whiskey Disco are at the forefront of the Russian underground dance scene. Here they display their love of 80’s & 90’s productions as a relentless breakbeat is worked non-stop over a tough electro b-line and quirky synth lines.
