Parisian label Chuwanaga is excited to announce “The Milky Way,” the debut EP from the dynamic duo Milk & Honey, a collaboration between producers Saint-James and Tour-Maubourg. Known for their raw sound that pays homage to late nineties house, Milk & Honey blend vintage hardware with a modern touch, injecting a fresh, nostalgic energy into the deep house scene.
This EP is a testament to the duo’s remarkable musical chemistry. Composed in just two days at Tour-Maubourg’s studio in Ixelles, Belgium, “The Milky Way” captures the essence of their creative synergy through a rich, textured journey of sound. It’s a limited edition release, with only 300 copies available on 12-inch vinyl, in addition to the digital version.
From peak-time club tracks like “Back in the Hood” and “Lost and Found,” and the darker, UK-influenced “Sour,” to more introspective cuts such as “Deeper and Deeper,” “Venus Effect,” and “City Stabs,” the EP tells a story of friendship through syncopated rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and intricate drum programming.
Milk & Honey have already made a name for themselves in the deep house scene with previous releases on Groovence Records, drawing inspiration from legends like Glenn Underground. With “The Milky Way,” they continue to push boundaries while honoring the timeless sounds that shaped their artistic vision.
