Future Sound Of Nature, a new label spearheaded by Soul Clap’s Eli Goldstein and collaborator Lola Villa, has officially launched with a mission to intertwine electronic music with the inherent rhythms of the earth. The label aims to foster a deeper connection to nature through its sonic offerings.
The inaugural release for the label is Lola Villa’s Amazonía EP, which coincided with the recent Full Flower Moon. This EP serves as a heartfelt tribute to the Amazon rainforest and its rich Indigenous rhythms.
Amazonía was born from Villa’s immersive experiences living with the Bora people in Peru and Colombia. The EP uniquely blends elements of house music with the sacred sounds of Manguaré drums and incorporates transformed field recordings of endangered bird species. It’s presented as an invitation for listeners to engage through dance, deep listening, and a re-evaluation of their relationship with the natural world, where “rhythm becomes prayer, and silence holds the wisdom of the forest.”
In a commitment to its collaborative foundation and reciprocal principles, a percentage of the profits generated from the Amazonía release will be directly allocated to the Bora communities in Peru and Colombia.
