Coming off the back of the success from Chris Coco’s last album ‘Freedom Street’, the first single ‘Word’ was an obvious choice to take a bit further with some enticing remixes.
To kick things off we’re met by the deep-grained groove of Leftside Wobble, who creates a heartfelt classic house rendition. You’re carried along with the old school vibe we all remember so vividly on this one.
The Timewriter enhances the Backroom-meets-Old Skool atmosphere with this gracefully dissonant remix. Playing on the big room pads; the once dominant vocal takes a comfortable back seat as the mix floats through.
DFRNT do exactly as the name suggests and really flip the mix on its head, this amazing remixes calls on the edgy dub bass line hinted at in the original, but takes full force from it instead. A darker twist on the jazzy original.
The Afterlife remix is a rhythmically driven, melodic roller boasting a lounge house feel, but with the constant push you’d expect of a Balearic hit.
