Hailing from Aarhus, Central delivers a more-or-less floor-friendly collection of works. With his curious and unorthodox approach to dance-music, this EP offers 4 very different pieces of music.
The opening track “Fresh Context”; a vivid yet robust house-jam is followed by the spontaneous and unpolished “Gentle Vertigo”.
B-side starts off with “Fell”, a moody and eerie spin in experimento-land. The final track “Kessem” is a melodic and punchy cut. Central delivered releases on Nord Records and Yield earlier this year, revealing respectively a darker techno game and a loose house-vibe.
To those who aren’t familiar with Help Recordings, Central’s widespread sound offers a premium introduction to the label’s output. Playful yet serious.
