Ism Records turn it out again with the sensational ‘Party Animals’ from Bobby Eclecto. Bobby is a uber-funky Swiss-Italian studio boffin who grew up in the region of Basel Switzerland. When he was 6 or 7 years old his parents decided to sent him to violin lessons and he had some Suzuki lessons. This japanese method consists of repeating a song after having heard it twice in a row from a vinyl. He never really liked playing the violin but it helped him developing a good hearing.
This leftfield and quirky approach to his productions can be heard in the spirit of ‘Party Animals’. Bobby is also a serious vinyl freak and spends time in thrift shops and flea markets and over the years he has built a fine collection of Jazz, Rare Groove, Funk, Afro, Disco and Italo Disco records. Bobby builds his songs on analog synthesizers, a fender rhodes and drum machines and only wants to release his music on mighty independent record labels. We say welcome to the world of Ism!
