DJ Razor

Radek Schwidt aka RAZOR – since being invited to Shanghai as the resident dj and music director of Mao Club in 2007, Razor built quite a reputation for the club and himself. One of the very few Polish international dj’s, he’s lived, promoted, and played parties in London, Ibiza, and The Netherlands, where he studied music production at Amsterdam’s SAE Institute. His music is full of freshness, and he is one of the very few dj’s in Shanghai still using vinyl records.

From September 2008 to January 2010, Razor was the music director for Hotel Costes’s first international venture, Shanghai’s Pavillon Costes. As the brand’s resident dj in Shanghai, he played alongside Stephane Pompagnac, Martin Solveig, Jose Padilla, and Le Chic, to name just a few. During that time, he played a number high-class fashion and club events, including fashion shows for Miss Sixty, Lacoste, and the opening of Shanghai International Fashion Week; parties at the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, Dolce & Gabbana’s Martini Bar, Lounge 18, and the Hainan International Music Festival; and worked for clients such as Vogue and the 2010 Polish Expo Pavilion. He also has a weekly show on China’s first electronic music internet radio station, www.Udancecn.comlatest Ding Dong Disco Mega Rave..

Razor is one of the key founders of Shanghai’s “Secret Party” and Ding Dong brands, special events for people who are bored of the classic “party at the club” concept. The concept is to always change the location and surprise party-goers with unexpected venues and themes (a navy boat on Shanghai’s Huangpu River, a “countryside” party in a suburban basement, and even one at the Barbie Store). He has also successfully organized performances for several of the world’s top international dj’s in Shanghai, including Clive Henry, Alexander Robotnick, Giles Smith, DJ Kaos, Princess Superstar, Simon Baker, Grandmaster Flash, Holy Ghost, Baby G, Jay Shepheard, Glimpse, Hector, Nick Curly, DirtCrew, Lindstrom and many more.

Show first aired in September 2012 on udancecn.com – webdjradio.com and intersonik.net
