Softmore
In the second hour this week we are proud to be hosting an incredible mix from American artist Softmore.
As a DJ, Softmore has over 12 years of experience under various names and aliases, but only over the past 3 years has he tried his hand at production. Within that time frame he has put out EPs and remixes on labels like Audio Parallax Recordings, Our Nights Recordings, Los Grandes, and Hotbox Music.
Although still a relatively unknown talent, Softmore has distinctively carved out his own sound – a heady mix of downtempo bordering on slow-house, downbeat disco, and nu-soul. He has an ear for unearthing hidden samples and creating something altogether brand new.
This mix created for Boogie Taipei has been carefully crafted from nothing but his own productions, featuring exclusive cuts made entirely for the mix and some unreleased and forthcoming material too. It also features 2 songs off of his Deep Rooted EP. The mix was put together in hopes of showcasing his sound direction and further highlights his stunning EP for Fruit of Life.
