Freekwency

Freekwency is the result of a life spent loving deep, soulful music. Relying heavily on traditional production styles and vintage equipment the Freekwency sound is distinct, and stands as a dedication to the underground R&B sound of the 1980s.

His last 2 Freekwency releases are out on the label Voyeurhythm but he has also recently launched his own private press modern soul label called HOT SHOT with partner in crime Inkswel. The first HOT SHOT release out late 2012 featuring Reggie B and Melissa Daniels.

The last 12 months have also seen producer Benny Badge feature on Inkswel’s “Ginseng Root” EP and Future Time’s “Vibe 2” compilation with analogue funk comrade Tom Noble on the track Malaco. combined With a european tour swiftly approaching Freekwency is a name to listen out for in the world of nu disco and boogie house music.

Show first aired in September 2012 on udancecn.com and boxfrequency.fm
